CUSTOMER SERVICE POLICY 

Cheat Sheet Design strives to provide exceptional service to all clients, creating a welcoming and respectful environment for collaboration and creative expression. Cheat Sheet Design reserves the right to deny service to anyone who fails to comply with the standard operating procedures below or acts disrespectfully.

PAYMENT

The payment for all services is due in full upon receipt. Payment in full is the only way to enter the design queue. 

ACCURACY

Client is responsible for providing accurate measurements during onboarding. Any measurement adjustments after your onboarding materials are submitted will result in a re-design fee.

Client is responsible for having any custom cabinetry field-verified by the installation professional completing the project before any ordering or fabrication begins. The design plan serves as a guide for the onsite team to bring the vision to life.

COMMUNICATION

Business hours are Monday-Friday 10 AM - 6 PM. Please allow 24 hours for an email response during business hours.

Space Plan + Styled Space Plan:

  • Email communication only

  • 1 week after delivery for follow-up questions. Please schedule a quick design chat for any questions after 1 week.

Full Design Plan:

  • Email and Google Meet communication

  • 3 weeks after delivery for follow-up questions. Please schedule a quick design chat for any questions after 3 weeks.

TIMING 

Timely responses ensure the design process moves smoothly. If there is no communication from the client for more than 30 calendar days (multiple attempts will be made), your project will be canceled without deliverables or refund.

USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Client agrees not to upload, share, or distribute any materials provided by Cheat Sheet Design - including but not limited to concepts, drafts, or final deliverables - to any AI tools, platforms, or third-party systems for the purpose of generating, modifying, or analyzing content. Your project will immediately be terminated without refund, and legal action will follow.

AFFILIATE LINKS 

The web links provided in the final product list may include affiliate links, which means I earn a small commission from your purchase at no additional cost to you. It is understood and agreed upon that you will purchase any products directly from the links provided.

ARTISTIC RELEASE 

Any and all digital products produced or created in connection with or in the process of the project are expressly and solely owned by Cheat Sheet Design and may be used in the reasonable course of Cheat Sheet Design's business.

USE OF DESIGNS FOR MARKETING PURPOSES 

We may use images of your designed space for marketing purposes. This may include showcasing your design on Alex’s social media channels and/or website. We understand that your privacy is important, and we assure you that we do not disclose any personal information, such as names or pictures of clients, ensuring your anonymity.

BEFORE AND AFTER IMAGES 

When you purchase our services, you acknowledge and agree that we may use a before image of your space alongside the after images for marketing purposes. This allows us to showcase the transformation achieved through our services and demonstrate the quality of our work to potential clients.

IMPORTANCE OF MARKETING FOR SMALL BUSINESS SURVIVAL 

As a small business, we heavily rely on online and social media marketing to promote our services and attract new clients. Sharing completed projects and client designs is crucial for our survival and growth. By agreeing to our Terms of Service, you support our ability to reach a wider audience and continue providing exceptional interior design solutions.

OPT-OUT OPTION 

We understand that not everyone may wish to have their designed space or before image used for marketing purposes. If you prefer that your designs remain private and not be utilized in our marketing efforts, please inform us at the time of purchase or by contacting hello@cheatsheetdesign.com. We will ensure your request is respected and your designs remain strictly confidential.

LIMITED LIABILITY 

Cheat Sheet Design is a decorating consultation service only. All recommendations are regarded as suggestions to improve the look of your space and are not intended for construction purposes.

The Client agrees to provide full information regarding the Client’s requirements for the project. 

Cheat Sheet Design will not be responsible for the means, methods, or procedures of construction, fabrication, & installation, or safety precautions in connection with the E-Design project; for the acts or omissions of the contractor or any subcontractor, supplier, or other person performing the work on the Space Planning project; or, for any failure of them to meet any schedules or completion dates.

Cheat Sheet Design cannot be held responsible for arranging repairs, replacement, or freight claims for purchases made in conjunction with recommendations for the E-Design project.

Client agrees that the maximum amount of damages he or she is entitled to in any claim relating to this Agreement or Services provided in this Agreement is not to exceed the Total Cost of Services provided by Cheat Sheet Design.

Client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cheat Sheet Design and its affiliates, employees, agents, and independent contractors for any injury, property damage, liability, claim, or other cause of action arising out of or related to Services and/or product(s) Cheat Sheet Design provides to Client.

PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY 

At Cheat Sheet Design, we prioritize your privacy and strive to maintain the confidentiality of your personal information. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and will not utilize or sell your personal information to any third parties outside of Cheat Sheet Design. We will only collect and use your information as necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations to you.

CHANGES TO THE TERMS OF SERVICE 

We may update this Terms of Service document from time to time to reflect changes in our business practices or legal requirements. We recommend reviewing this document periodically to stay informed about any modifications. Your continued use of our services after any revisions indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
